I have a vortech kit with the upgraded impeller and high speed bearings (62k). I've upsized my crank pulley so I can upsize the blower pulley and try to avoid the belt slip that's associated with smaller pulleys. Do I go with a 20 lb or 22 lb pulley?
The 20 lb pulley should make 20 lbs at 9k, 21 lbs at 9200 rpm, and 22 lbs at 9400 rpm.
The 22 lb pulley should make 22 at 9k, 24 at 9200 rpm, and 26 at 9400 rpm.
For my tuning session, I get one pulley. I don't want to go to big and end up pushing lots of hot air, but I also don't want to leave any power on the table.
The head and bottom are built, but there is no point in spinning the motor up if it won't make power up there.
I've also converted to solenoid actuated port meth injection for more reliable distribution. There's also a failsafe that's going to get incorporated into the infinity ems.
The car is just a street rod. Pic is the port injection setup cause everyone likes pics. I'm debating on adding the pre TB injection. I have a 300psi pump and even with the smallest nozzles, it's WAY to much fluid. I'm going to have to dial down the pressure. Also, when I had both the pre TB and port methanol, I noticed on the flow meter the flow would bounce. Has anyone else experienced this? When I removed the pre-TB injector, the flow because steady and consistent. Almost forgot to mention, I'm at 10:1 compression. Thanks in advance!
