Default 2JZ S2K dyno results

I got my car tuned on a Mustang dyno the other day. It only made 457 whp and 411 wtq at 17 lbs. I have a GT45R turbo, stock 550cc injectors, Walboro fuel pump, Aeromotive FPR, and I'm just running an AFC Neo at the moment.

One problem I know for shure is that my turbo is way too big. The 45R is bottlenecking due to the 3" downpipe connected to it. The outlet on a 45R is 4" but the biggest downpipe that I can fit on the exhaust side of the turbo is 3" due to the limited space in the engine bay. This creates a huge restriction in exhaust flow. I made 411 whp @ 11lbs. I only gained 46 whp with an increase of 6lbs of boost. This is more than likely due to this restriction. My tuner suggested I get a 67mm turbo. He said I should easily make 550 with this smaller turbo.

I only wanted to make around 500 whp on the car with a consevative tune because I had bought this car to sell. I want to stay really conservative with it, but I still want at least 500 wheel.

Another problem we were having is that the car was starting to lean out up top at 18lbs of boost. Does anyone know why this could be? The stock 550cc injectors are good up to 550 whp, the walboro pump should be good to over 600hp, and from what people are telling me on this board my stock S2000 fuel lines should be good for well over 500 wheel as well. I don't know why it could be leaning out @ 18lbs.

Currently the car is running on a very safe tune - 457 whp/411 wtq @17lbs. with a 10.8:1 A/F ratio. This is more than enough power and the car is wickedly fast, but I would like to get at least 500 whp on it. I know I can get there easily with a smaller turbo, but I also want to make sure the fuel system is up for the task.

If anyone knows why the car could be leaning out up top, please chime in. Thanks for the help!

this is an s2000 forum and although your car is an s2000 I am sure you will get much better engine related advice on your 2jz from a supra forum.

I was just wondering if anyone here may know if the S2000 fuel lines are able to flow enough volume for a 2JZ @ over 500 whp. I know people here are running over 500 whp on FC20 and FC22's on stock fuel lines, but would it be the same volume of fuel for a 2JZ at the same power levels?

I'm pretty sure the stock 550cc injectors on a 2JZ are capable of over 500-550 whp. A few of my friends that are on the supra forums have confirmed this.

a certain amount of power requires a certain amount of fuel so for a 6 cylinder to make 500hp a 4 cylinder would need roughly the same amount of fuel.

rc's site has a injector size calculator and even if you play with the numbers at 500whp which is about 575-600bhp, the injector size turns out to be close to 800cc injectors.

look at the bottom of the page.

it appears you have a lot of problems...there are many things that does not seem right with your numbers. At that psi level you should be able to see 600.

well here's your problem, you wanted 500hp and got a gt45, lol, talk about massive overkill. You would be WAY better off with a smaller turbo.
