Default 2mm HeadGasket

Theres not to many threads out there saying im running a 2mm HG, its more like, i ran or will be running a 2/3mm HG. So i thought i would let everyone know that i just had mine installed 2 weeks ago and im running strong, (knocks on wood) I had always heard it took 2 psi to compensate for a drop in 1 CR point. I wanted to say that it feels every bit as strong at 9 psi if not stronger than at 7.5psi on old setup . Now im running 10psi and 14 very soon. Hopefully no horror stories will arise from this setup

if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay to have someone put it in for you?

I just did it myself. If you have ever done a head gasket before on any other car its the same deal. The S is not that hard to dissasemble at all. Things are not that hard to get to with the right tools. If you have a buddy to help you that knows a little something I am sure you two can work threw it. Get the manual, read it through and decide if the job is for you or not. If its to much, then pay someone, but I always like to see people getting down and dirty on the car. Take your time and learn the car. Its fun and can make the "car hobby" you have alot more enjoyable. If you have ANY QUESTIONS or need any help there are alot of guys here like myself that can walk you step by step if you so need. Good luck.

No cash laid out for labor but my own damn time.
It does take considerable amount of time to pull the head.
Put once you do it about a 100 times like myself you'll get the hang of it.

the hardest bolts to get to are the bottom intake bolts but there are simple tricks for those.

I've had a 2mm for a few months ~12psi and haven't had any problems so far. Although, I don't drive too often, and when I do I rarely drive it hard.

I definately enjoy working on cars and did the entire turbo kit myself but now that ive graduated college, im just to busy to do it myself but to answer your question about 400ish$ to install it. like flexer said, youll enjoy the "car hobby" much more if you do it yourself, gives you more of a sense of pride about what youve done.
