3-4K hesitation with V-2?
I got a 02 with a Vorteh V-2 sq and in the past weeks everyone once an a while during cruising I get what I can only describe as a hiccup between 3-4K RPMS. It's only done it once in a full throttle situation. Every time I've taken it in, it never does it with the Mech in the car. Any starting advice would be great!
What fuel pump and injectors are you running?
I was running Bosch 1000cc injectors w/ a FB340 pump and I would get that scenario, as I described in my previous post.
I demonstrated this to my previous tuner, and he said "well, don't drive it like that". So, when I drove it, I pushed the pedal down and boogied!!
If you get on the gas, do you get the same hesitation at 3-4k rpm?

It could be a fueling issue. And you can't verify this without an on board wideband gauge. This along with a boost gauge is basic necessary stuff when going FI for troubleshooting as well as tuning. The VT fuel regulator that comes with the kit has no external fuel calibration adjustment unlike the comptech unit, however it can be modified by adding pre load pucks inside to add or subtract fuel. Its archaic but an option. If you plan on sticking with this base level boost indefinitely, id at least ditch it and go with a comptech unit so you can easily adjust it.
Also very likely, the VT black box which hides boost from the ecu can be unreliable. The old splice in ESM comptech used worked super reliable, and the next Gen in the SOS and ct kits are now pnp and actually control vtec and fueling along with the map voltage so its a reliable upgrade to the base psi kits. I would consider ditching the vt black box and getting one of these units as well. At 3-4k rpm and mid throttle is the vac/boost threshold and if thats where you are experiencing a hiccup, this is the likely device that isn't doing its job. It can and should be butter smooth through all throttle positions. Dont settle for less.
