I'm assuming you've never heard them before because they don't sound like the whine from driving in reverse. Its more of a hum rather then a whine (like reverse).

I say it strictly because if a little hum bothers you then how come tire noise doesn't, or top down wind noise, or the little rattles, or the stock exhaust slight drone, or the stiff suspension, etc etc etc. This car is not a GT car.
I know the S2k has a lot of strange noises I love my S2000

I'm installing 4.44

4.57's here. BTW the Richmond 4.57's by design are stronger than the factory 4.10's or 4.44's. The beefy design/cut causes them to whine. If you have a loud exhaust you'll never hear them. Ask me how I know

where and how much can the 4.44's be had for?
and any need for a new/different diff, or just need the gears and it's a plug-and-play?

check the group buy. I know they had them on there for Motorklasse. Plug-play? hmm.not an easy job from what I have seen. I kept my housing and everything, but you will need some OEM parts.
