Emailed Jeff he looked up my software said its set to 3400. So i was wrong. Maybe its just i dont feel the boost hard till around 5500. powerband just feels so smooth maybe i dont feel the vtec come in.

Im using a 3" SOS pulley making 15psi 405whp 240tq. My a/f is around 11.1-11.2 full throttle and 14s-15 normal. It could just be me wanting more. So maybe the gears will give me that little bit more low end? Just dont want to drop 2000 on a stage 2 diff and 4.56 gears and not notice a diff.

I get lost when it comes to tuning. im great at installing everything but just not up on all the details of tuning.

So my dyno looks good? It does feel very smooth all the way to redline.

I wouldn't do the gears personally. They may help around town but I bet they will slow you down at higher speeds say doing a highway pull.

I have basically the exact same power as you and I do agree more mid range would be awesome. I'm probably going to be doing a few things to get that but they are all expensive like new engine and upgraded blower with a waste gate.

Ya i was going to pm u Ryan. I knew our set ups were close. im not to worried about topend as from what i read my Ap1 would still do 150 with the 4.56 gears. Im guessing i could expect to be a bit faster in the 1/4 mile with the 4.56 vs the stock 4.10s

Maybe 4.44 would be a better choice. Don't need an extra shift in the 1/4 with them I don't think.

The gears do hurt highway speed pulls though. Get out of the gear too quick to really be able to pull well I feel. I had 4.77's before and they were great around town but once on the highway they made the car feel slower.

So just depends if you'd rather have the added grunt around town and lower rpms or have the car be faster once moving.

It should feel smooth, no hit from vtec is best. Not only does this mean your getting the most low/mid range possible out of the tune, but its going to make the power delivery predictable/usable and easier on your drivetrain. Some of the waves in your chart through me off on the engagement point and initially I thought it could be lower due to the first wave, but I aired on what you said and went with the second wave which does happen to be where you originally said. Ive seen straighter powerbands from an SC, so with more time and money spent i'm sure this could be improved, but its probably not worth the drive and cost.

Gears will make it more responsive at a lower rpm and get you into the higher boost levels quicker, but quickly become a hindrance when your in the meat of the powerband, and if traction isn't an issue now, it will be. Its a compromise you will have to live with and probably wont be apparent to you until you have done it and drive it. A larger TB and light weight flywheel would help free up the motor and make for a noticeable trq and response improvement through the entire rpm, but most noticeable at low rpm, the TB being the cheapest/easiest to do.

Also keep in mind, and Ap2 trans has a primary gear reduction drive that the ap1 trans doesn't and this is going to make for a lower gear ratio in the first 4 gears, equivalent to roughly a 4.20 rear end instead of the 4.10. This is what I chose to run and it is noticeable, sometimes I wish I didn't have it though because my mph is lower then id like per gear so I just rev my f22 further like an F20. 4.56 would just be lame, you would be shifting a ton and not cove any ground, wasting all that top end power. By your hp to trq ratio i'm guessing your running an F20 and unfortunately these provide significantly less low rpm trq over the F22, not much you can do about that. You have a top end machine there, small high revving displacement with big exhaust.

Sounds like you might be one of the guys that trade in the Sc for a turbo down the road. a small one that spools quick and at a low rpm is what would work best for what your after.

Also you mentioned running 11 afr. Thats pretty damn rich but not as big a deal up top in the powerband if that's where Evan feels its safe and effective, but down in the rpm range where you want more, its going to feel boggy. If he has it at 11 afr down as low as 3-4k rpm, its hurting your power and response for sure. My guess is its leaner in this rpm range though. Typically a good SC tune will be leaner in the lower rpm and progressively richen up as the boost and rpm climb.

I just got my Stage 2 back from PuddyMod today. I had 4.44's an broke a tooth. I got him to put a 4.30 gear in.

I'm currently making 435whp an 266tq @16psi.

I'm hoping that I'll still feel a lil of that low-mid Umpff but gain a lil more up top.
