If it is, it won't be for long.

how reliable is this setup? do you think the engine will be ok 25000 miles later?

if i wanted to go with a thicker head gasket to lower the compression on my car and then take it from 8psi to 10 psi w/ comptech supercharger would that be reliable?

i was wondering that myself. what kind of reliability do you think we could expect running say 18psi daily?

I am currently running their head gasket and I also have a stock block.I am running the car on 9 psi for daily driving and I turn up the boost to 12 psi when I race. How ever I do have an aem ems and also running methanol injection. This set up has been on my car for I d say 3 months an average of 3,000 miles.

As far as the differential YESSS that is a major issue. I have NEVER launched my car at ALL I only tend to shift a little hard when racing and I am already hearing a loud clunking noise coming from the rear when I make turns and while in neutral so you know what that means But yes the inline pro stainless steel head gasket is the way to go for ppl to want to hold off on building their block. As far as going 26psi......I personally wouldnt push it.I am just way to paranoid on blowing it up.

If you put the thicker gasket and run 10 psi tops, thats not such high boost on low compression to be concerned with reliability, i wouldnt be concerned...

so how thick of a head gasket should i go with as to not lower the compression to much.

well, the only 2 gaskets I know about are the stock one or the 3mm gasket from inlinepro which when I calculated (and I could be off) it came out ot 8.67to 1 CR. But I believe its been said it drops compression to 9 to 1.

But my good guess is that our friend Jeremy can tell us what compression it drops it to exactly since they've done all the research.

Couldn't you get away with running 9psi on stock compression?

Yes, on 93 octane. Also, water injection will help.
