Hey guys,
I'm stuck in a dilemma; I can't decide what turbine housing to use with my 5857 BB turbo. I have the PLM T3 side winder manifold and am shooting for 500 WHP on 93 oct. I got the turbo with the .63 AR turbine, but have been thinking whether or not I should get the .82 AR? Any experience or input would be appreciated. Please don't give me a generic answer. Thanks for the help!

PS: I have tried the search on here and HT and am still left split.

 

Get the .82

You lose very little to no spool time, but gain a bit up top.

 

What Spectacle said but If you already have .63 just use that. It will be fine unless your shooting for big #s

 

i had a 5857 bb .63ar. great turbo but if your wanting 500whp you'll need the .82 Precision will swap the housing for $550 but they will put a CEA 58mm turbine on. More power, faster spool. Mine is currently there getting an upgrade

Ok, thanks for the advice guys. I got in touch with Jay and Fernando at Real St and they were willing to trade turbines with me. Hopefully I made the right choice, will definitely start a thread once I start the build.
