Default Advice on Exhaust Manifold Nuts

I've searched and all I can come up with is threads about the turbo separating, or the wastegate. What have people done to lock the manifold nuts? I know stage 8's are a good locking fastener, but they only offer bolts. Is it ok to replace the studs with bolts? I feel the threads in the head aren't really designed for that type of force, but maybe someone has better experience than me. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I've been running the stage 8 bolts for a month with a lot of heat/boost and thermal cycling no problems yet.

If you have enough thread use two nuts and jam them on each other.

Whent with the stage 8's. I'll just drill the holes and helicoil it if it screws anything up. Thanks.

ive been using copper nuts from atpturbo.com. apparently they deform slightly when tightened which help it to stay on.

That's just luck. High temp loctite only lasts to 400F, and locknuts loose their temper at manifold temps. Hopefully you'll never have my problem though.
