aem 1052u problem

Default aem 1052u problem

Well I've had issues with cylinder 3 injector not working. All the others are fine. I diagnosed the problem to being in the harness at first bc my battery was draining fast and if I disconnected the injector from the harness and jumped power and ground from injector 2 to 3, the car would run great! So yesterday I went to run a new ground wire back from the injector to the ecu (pin # b4 blue wire) after replacing the length of wire, the problem was back. It seens that my issue is in my ecu now, looks like pin b4 is shot and not grounding the injector.... my question is this... I don't want to buy another aem unit. I simply don't have the extra money to spare on it. I'm waiting to call aem tomorrow or Tuesday whenever they are open. Does anyone know if they will be willing to help fix this or if they will tell me to go f*** off? I'm willing to pay a fee if I must to get it fixed. I just need this thing going again, also if anyone knows how to fix my problem, it'd be helpful. Idk if anyone has had issues like this with their aem unit. Its really a great device.

They are willing to repair these, but odds are its gonna be expensive. And I doubt they will be open on the 5th.

Send it to AEM for repair, it wont cost that much to fix...
You should call them and get details first.

i was hoping they would be willing to fix it. i really hope its not alot. i was wondering if they would actually be at the shop tomorrow. i guess ill find out... im a little nervous to see what they will charge.

update: i called AEM today. all i have to say about them is OMFG these guys have earned a customer for life! heres how the conversation went.

me: hey i got a problem with my unit. the pin to cylinder 3 is not working.

AEM: heres what you do. move the wire from pin B4 to a new pin at D1 and hook up your laptop. disable injector 3 and enable injector 5. now go to injector phasing and swap values from injector tooth 3 to injector tooth 5. after that, crank the car and your fixed.

ME: SWEET! its working perfectly! your awesome AEM!

lol it was that fast and easy! these guys were really knowledgable and were willing to write out in an email how to do it after i talked to them and walk me through setting it up on my software. these guys are great and just saved me alot of cash. the 1052u is the best thing ive ever bought!
