aem 3.5 bar fail
so when i was tuned mase noticed my map sensor was reading like a psi low which pissed me off. he tuned still so that the areas around what i run are good, but i was like this sucks. well few days ago i turned the car one but didnt start it and when it should read 0 it read -1.1. i said thats it and ordered a new one. cant have the car reading this shit wrong, who knows how far it is off up top
anyone else ever had a map sensor fail on them?

welp, i installed the new one and it reads near the same. maybe the settings in aem need tweaking, if i mess with the load scalar i can get it to read like the sheet that comes with it. but why would i need to change that if its an aem 3.5 bar sensor and its in the aem ems wizard. could it be that i scaled the map sensor to read only -14 to 25ish psi?
most of the time the readings being off like that are a wiring/ground/noise issue and arent really anything to worry about other than you questioning what the "real" boost level is. (which doesnt really matter as far as the tune goes IMHO)
These sensors have a very linear response, so if its low 1psi key on engine off then its probably 1 psi low all the time.
whats it read for vacuum at idle?
