Default AEM boost Solenoid

I had read that a few people, when wiring their AEM (MAC) boost solenoid using d4 for the switched 12v, and then obviously d16 for the second wire. However when i did this, my solenoid never worked. it only worked when i plugged into the 12v accessory on the fuse panel, instead of d4. is there a switch or something in AEMPro that i needed to enable for this to work, or what did i miss?

Polarity of the wires do not matter. One wire you must wire to pin d16 on the aem ems. The other wire must be wired to a power source when the car is only.

Correct, but from what i have read a lot of people pull the 12v switched from d4 on the aem ems (D4 --- High Side Driver #4 Output Available Switched +12v, 1.5a max; this is straight from the 1052 manual). However when i utilized this pin, power was never being given to the solenoid. as soon as i removed it from d4, and used the accessory fuse location under the dash, the solenoid worked. Id prefer to use the ems, as it keeps things cleaner imo. Im just not sure why it was not supplying power, and if something in AEMPro needed to be enabled on this pin.

You prolly have to activate the pin in aempro. Just pull power elsewhere. I think I pulled mine from one of the tps wires. Been so long I can not remember.

I got it working. on the v1 aem, if you go into configure outputs, then (in this case, d4 is high side driver #4) change to HS4 output, enable it, and set the parameters for which it will turn on, and works perfect!
