Have you tried changing the connection port? I have the BEST BUY usb adapter also. heres what I did.

Control bar up top ECU-CONNECTION PORT-SERIAL. It should then give you one COM PORT that you can use. Worked on mine.

I did all that and tried com 4 and com 5 and got the same results. I think I'm just going to have to get another one.

Hmm... I have a Belkin one that didn't work and an I/O gear that does. A lot of the DHP guys (GM tuning software) use Keyspan USB-serial adapters.

You have to have the key on, connect the USB-serial cable, open the AEM software, choose serial and then the correct com port, and click connect. You should see flashing lights on the adapter.

That's what I do. I even tried starting the process in different orders just to see if it would work and nothing does. The only Com it shows is Com4 for the port the adapter is plugged into and the light on the adapter is flashing but it's not working. "ECU OFF LINE" keeps blinking in red at the bottom.

The first time I started up Aem Pro I didn't plug in the adapter and it showed the different com ports. Now that the adapter is plugged in it won't show any other port other than the one it is plugged into(Com 4). If I unplug the adapter it doesn't show any com ports.
