Please tell us more about the bugs in Series 2, my tuner wanted me to buy it.
S2000442 had a very hard time getting his car to run on his
Joeyballs had experienced trouble with the data logging and other issues
Then there is the new AEM Tuner software, there are some great features but overall I am not impressed. I would have accepted it and moved on had they keep the Autotune feature for on the fly AFR logging.
I have had both versions of AEM. 1052 and the version 2.
From what Toan was telling me with the Series two, he said it's easier to tune than the 1052 and has lightning speed calculations while tuning. But he said he hadn't gotten any bugs or experienced such things at all...
He said from the drivers standpoint, there is no difference minus the oem temp gauge works again.
the same tuner can tune both aem's on the same car and should net the same result....So if you can find the 1052 for a cheap price that's in great condition... or if you already have it.. dont worry about getting the version 2....its not much of a leap to worry about missing out on anything.

Could I also delete my air pump with AEM EMS?
I saw a regular 1052 for sale in the socal forum for 700.
I have an AEM series 2 and it works great. There are some things with this software that I do like better than the aempro. I had one small problem with internal logging, but it seems to be working fine now. They make updated releases for it often and it is only getting better. I've used both though and the series 1 box works great too.
