Default AEM EMS PURCHASE HELP!

Hello im about to purchase a aem ems 1012. the seller said it has a map on it tuned for a comptech supercharged s2k with 650cc injectors. i wanted to plug in my car to see if it starts to confirm if it works. is it safe to start with the map he has on it? has anyone had any problems with 1012 since its the older version? i just dont want to pick up a messed up aem ems and i know to look for the cut stickers if its been opened. please help. thanks!

not sure if it will crank with stock injectors if they are mapped for 650s

Get a laptop connected to it once you have plugged it into your car.

Firstly you can see if its brains are awake if your laptop can talk to it.

Secondly, load the stock engine startup program that comes with the AEM software and your car should start and idle fine.

You can download the AEM software from their website.

you want to make sure that the sensor readings are smooth.

if you see throttle % or engine load or coolant temp jumping around erratically then pass on that particular box

u should go for a 1052 or a 1052u.

the 1012 nis shit, i hasd one and got rid of it in 3 months. trust me.
if you are boosting spend the little extra cash and do it rite!!

really? yeah i am going boost and this guy is offering me a trade for his aem ems 1012 and 400 bucks on top for my used gt30r turbo. seemed like a good deal to me and i need a ems to run with my turbo setup. is the 1012 really that bad? anybody had problems with it tuning with boost? thanks for your replies!
