Default AEM EMS question...

I have a 1052U and I have a MAC boost solenoid and just purchased an oil pressure sensor and also an air intake temp sensor.

I bought my 1052U used and it didnt come with any extra harness or pigtail, so my question is how/where do I hook up the boost solenoid and sensors?

Ive read and been told things like pin 16 etc but is there a harness that I am supposed to buy that I hook to the EMS and can solder these wire in to?

Thanks guys.

the boost control solenoid get wired like so:

one lead- 12v switched power
one lead- D16 on supplied D connector
either wire can be wired to either thing.

the oil pressure sending unit gets wired like so:

black wire splices into pin C18
red wire splices into pin C19
green wire replaces wire to pin C24 which is the ACDR13 input

(this is what jeff evans told me to do)

Is the "D connector" something I can purchase?

The pins C18, C19 and C24 refer to pins in the stock harness? I have no idea what you are referring to...

The D connector should've been supplied with the EMS (if bought new) there's also extra pins you can use. They should be in a little baggie

You can get an extra plug from AEM if you don't have one.

yes, they are the stock pin locations that you hook the oil pressure sending unit pigtail up to

Thanks guys.
My ems was purchased used so I didn't get a D connector with it. I'll have to source one.

Page 7 of the "Ems_-_30-1052" PDF I sent has the below picture and all of the pins for reference.

I though that you were going to have the tuner do this for you?

Yeah I took a look at the PDF, but it was like reading how to build a microwave oven.. I didn't know about the extra D connector.

I'm sooo damn close to finishing my car but these last few things are really frustrating me to death.

Here is an alternatative to the great info Irishflame27 ( ) posted.

If you do not hae the D connector AEM gave me PT# 3-1002-16 which is like $7.00

Boost Controller
D4......High Side Driver......Output......Available Switched +12v. 1.5a max
D16.....PW #2....................Intput......Available Boost Solenoid
**This is not polarity Specific

Pressure Sensor
Black......D9....Sensor Ground..........Input.......Availible Ground Reference
Red........D6....+5V Sensor..............Output......Available 5.0V Reference
Green.....D8.....ADR14.....................Input.. .....Available, 0-5v input (100K pu)

Boost Switch Input [High Boost Switch]
D11......Switch #2....Available Switched Input
To Chasis Ground

Nitrous Input
D12......Switch #3....Available Switched Input
To Chasis Ground

Intake Air Temperature
Must be wired into the factory, according to AEM unless you open the EMS and change one of the RTD/EGT input jumpers there is no extra tempeature sensors availible. I will have to check the factory wiring to verify the correct wiring.

Sorry, I ended up getting the flu and I have done nothing the last week. Let me know if I can help and I will see if I can keep you rolling.

Other than the wires themselves, I will have your ignition system wiring done this weekend. As soon as I get the mounts I will make your wires and send everything.
