Installed the FID2000cc injectors. Lumpy idle compared to the ID1000cc at 14.7AFR. AFR is all over the place between 14.0-16. Motor revs like crap with no load (feels like running on three cylinders). I checked all connections by unplugging each injector and looks like one injector is bad because disconnecting it doesn't affect idle as much as the other three. Maybe a bad injector? Or does 2000cc injectors just idle like crap?

I went back to the ID1000cc injectors and it idles butter smooth. Going to run with the ID1000's to see where the injector duty cycle tops out on E85...

Did you adjust dead times and your fuel map comp when you switched injectors?

I'm running id2000's and they are by far the best injectors I've ever ran, plenty of fuel for almost any power goal, and the idle at least on my car is very smooth considering the size of injector.

seems like a great deal with the flex fuel sensor and ems, I wonder if there is any way you could read the fuel before the rail without restricting flow to the rail like a remote mount and a y in the line or something?

There is nothing wrong with reading it on the return.

Yes got it working. Did you read the instructions that comes with the firmware? Which input did you use? I put mine on Switch3 because I have the female pin size on hand that will fit it, otherwise I would of chosen Switch2. Make sure to set the rising edge and falling edge to on.

On 91oct gas, the Flex Fuel Blend graph will show a dot at the 10% Flex Fuel content. On E85, the dot shows I'm at 80% Flex fuel content. This is my second fill up.

I did not drain my tank. I ran 91oct gas until the fuel light came on, then added about 8 gallons of E85. At that point, the Flex fuel content showed 70%. I proceeded to tuning idle, partial throttle and cruise at various gears. On the second fill up with E85 with ~4 gallons left, the flex fuel content went up to 80%. The sensor is working beautifully.

My idle with the FID2000 is all over the place. I'm on 25MicroSec/Bit on the fuel map. Under load and boost, the car pull strong without any hiccups. It seems these injectors likes to run around 13.7AFR Gas and Ethanol to get a smooth partial throttle driving. If anybody have other tricks to make these injector idle better, please chime in.

Got the FID2000 to idle great at 15.0 AFR after adjusting the feedback settings. Made the feed back gain small and increased the update rate to minimize the AFR swing. Idle is not as great as the ID1000's, still have occasional swings but overall idle is smooth at 1000rpm with bubbly exhaust sound.

I'm still in the process of learning to tuning timing and boost on E85. Goal is to find the max amount of boost and timing with minimal knock. So far everything looks good.

Dead times are adjusted. The ID1000cc idle so much nicer than the 2000cc injectors. Makes me wonder if I got a set of bad injectors or it is just the nature of the larger injectors. The FID2000cc pulls nicely under boost to 16psi

Do you have a link to the latest firmware?

So if I understand this thread and equipment/AEM2 software update (?) correct => you will be able to run 2 fuels (Ex 93 + E85) at the same time w/o having to drain the tank ???
