Any updates? Have people had success at modestly increased boost? Looking to go ~10psi.
A local guy just blew up his engine running 10 psi on CTSC AP1 using the AEM F/IC.

I tend to think it was just poor tuning instead of any failings of the unit, tho.

Does reflashing the FIC to the latest Firmware erase your maps?

Does the following information mean that this unit supports VTEC adjustment as well?

[QUOTE]It intercepts the stock timing signal and alters it based on boost and rpm.

I initially bought the FIC and it didn't work very well. Rather than pay the tuner to figure out AEM's crap, I returned the FIC and went with the full AEM EMS. Unless the FIC is plug and play, it winds up being similar in price to an AEM EMS when you throw in tuner time at $60-90/hr.

Just my $0.02

With mine, we got most of the bugs worked out, I have not updated to the latest firm ware, but not sure this will solve anything. Only problem I am really having is that between 4-5krpm it gets a studder or hiccup where it goes rich as all hell under partial throttle.

Still using stock injectors atm with it, and plan on getting maybe some 550s.

Kpro may end up being what I do in the end.... if this problem isnt solvable im just suprised AEM isnt really doin much to fix that small problem else it would be a hit.

It was a combonation of the two, if the tuner cant tune out the bugs of the fic then it really doesnt matter, ultimetly the tune wasnt right and wasnt able to ever get right before it killed my motor.

[QUOTE=Nugget,Aug 8 2008, 02:14 AM] I am interested in this FIC and was wanting to go with 12psi with 650-750cc injectors.

Sorry again about your engine. What a fiasco.

I'm strongly considering doing Kpro if I ever go FI.

If you can find a used Kpro from an RSX you can have it converted to the S2000 and save a few hundred over buying new. It's not like a used ECU is "worn out" or anything. Still more than AEM, but ODB compliant and IMO a more friendly tuning interface.
