OP. I had the exact same thing happen at a track night about a month ago!

Similar set up too, but no SOS relay kit at the time.

Ran the car for about 10 paced laps. Shut it down, then tried 10 minutes later, no priming of my FBM-340. 2 hrs later - checked relays and fuses were AOK. Just prior to event closing, i unplugged the connection (at top of fuel pump assembly - under the rear deck) and re-connected it pic, the pump primed right up. Drove it home. Never had this issue prior and didnt occur after. I cleaned that plug and pins with some contact cleaner/conditioners and then ran the SOS relay kit.

However, we did notice some weaknesses when wiring the plug thats included with the SOS relay. We found those thin plugs/clip things shown here:

that are inserted into the relay plug here:

are pushed through the plug holders when the relay pins are pressed into that plug. Sorry if I'm making no sense. We had to be sure those plugs that insert into the relay plug are solidly connected when the relay is inserted into plug. The main power wire of mine was getting pushed out and not connecting at all. Eventually, we made sure all relay posts inserted correctly and all seems well.

Sorry for the long post and credit to Redline S2K for pics. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the responses! I don't ever plan to use anything but pump gas and I think my pump can be used for e85 if I remember? The pump has maybe around 1000miles..

And I unplugged all the connectors and retried multiple times, before taking out the pump I will try to make sure those pins are tight bc I did too notice that they were really loose in there but I figured it would be okay since it worked for 2 days and the relay will click every time I turn the key lol.

I used a multimeter(fluke) to check V and the relay connector has power and ground is good. Couldn't check resistance at the pump bc it was too hard with the panel in the way. Will keep you guys updated once I get more into it. Thanks!

I bought an AEM320 for e85 this time around. I had the same symptoms as you describe. They wont cover the non ethanol pump if you use E85 and they have a one year replace/ repair warranty.

I suppose I've been an outspoken critic of the AEM, aeromotive pumps. If the OP finds it's the pump that's the cause. I'd recommend DON'T put in the same brand that let you down. Go with something with a better track record; denso (OEM supplier) or walbro. Why would you chance anything with fuel?? I've been stuck on an interstate 70 miles from anywhere. You don't want that. It's extraordinarily bad feeling.

A local shop also recommended me to get a deatschwerks fuel pump? Never heard of them

No, those pumps and injectors had problem man back in the day. Look at Aeromotive, Walbro's, FB, for a drop in pump bro.

Just got your PM. If you've checked power and ground, you could use a jumper wire to supply power directly to the pump to see if it primes. Possible that you have an issue with the wires that are inside the tank.

Thanks for crediting me on the pictures above

That's what I may have to do is pull the pump and check the wires inside, probably this weekend. I read up some people that have the aero 340+ pumps replace the wires inside the pump to a bigger gauge, think that's necessary ? Thanks for the help guys
