Default aem serial gauge programing

Hey guys I was wondering if you guys have a program for a serial gauge that I can upload to show boost in psi, a/f, and coolent temp at the minimum. Right now I am using the 3.5bar map calibration and the psi is way off. I am showing -11 when I am not touching the gas and sometime it will show -.1 or .28 when I am boosting to redline.

Also for you turbo guys, I was looking at my vacuum lines from my wastegate to turbo. I noticed halfway down the line there is a plastic T in it and it is open ended. Does this effect anything or should I take the T out and run a solid line. I am not too sure why the installer did this.

I haven't used AEM's EMS yet, but I would think there would be an option to change the scalers to whatever measurement you like. Someone can prolly add more on this.

As for the t on your vac line. YES, fix that. Run a straight piece of line from your source to the w/g. I would triple check your lines and make sure you don't have any loose ends, or open lines.

Also a word of advice, I usually zip tie, or hose clamp all my vacuum lines. They will start popping off as the boost increases.

Good luck.

thanks for the help, I rememeber the installer telling me once that the t was there to bleed off some of the boost so it won't spike but not sure. What ill affect would the T cause. WOuld gain my full boost from the straight thru line.

Unless you misunderstood him, I'd suggest finding a new "installer".

Research a wastegate's function and purpose and I think you will understand what it does and why the reason he gave you was b.s.

i know you can monitor oil pressure on the serial gauge, i think you have to buy aem's sender. However I have no idea what pin you would need to put it in or how to set up the ems for it

need sender, and wire to the aem ems. as for the gauge, you need the software for the gauge, then you have to scale each thing your monitoring. its a slow process, but worth it, some of the default scales are awful.

if you just want to change the way the gauge lights up, you can do that kind of quick in the progauge software. if you want to add sensors that were not part of the original gauge software, you have to look below for scaling info.

go to aempower.com and look in there forum. theres a sticky that helps how to do this, since some of the scales are linear, and some are not.

aemprogauge is the software.

http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...c,16213.0.html

for gauge software and instructions.

http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...c,14826.0.html

this one shows how to calculate scale.

dont forget to modify water and air temp tables. timg found that the raw values are wrong. its in the s2000 aem forum for the aem ems.

i spent a few hours making each light correlate to what i wanted. im picky though.

there are wires or pins that are not used but available on aem wire harness. you wire to them , then you configure/scale that value. in the aem manual will be the location of the extra pin/wires you tap to.

go to the installation directory of the program. in the intructions folder is the pdf for 1052 ecu. on page 5-7 you will see the pinout of the connector. any open spot that says input 0-5v can be configured for the pressure sensor. but you will have to scale it and configure it.

how many wires does pressure sender have? i would guess three, switched power, ground, and the third wire would go to the pin above.
