AEM v KPRO

in the kpro software there's an option to use it or not so it seems like it's up to you.
On the S2000 the immobilizer does not work with KPRO.
IMO, the price difference between the two systems will come down to how difficult it will be for you to pass emissions with the AEM. For some, the ease of passing with the Kpro will be worth the difference; to others, it won't. It's that simple.
The same can be argued for OBDII for troubleshoouting, and VSA for the 06+ guys.
There is no right and wrong.
And this is coming from an Emanage guy

Aem ems can be had for around $1100, no one is going to spend $1700 on it. Kpro installed is around $3300...

WOAH?? where'd u get that figure?? $3300?? Who are u paying to install it for that price??
I know its alot more expensive, but retaining stock like drivability and no cold start issues, OBDII compliance, and use of all OEM sensors and the use of the CEL. Seems there may also be a solution to keeping the immobilizer after all.
[QUOTE=Kyushin,Apr 7 2009, 08:46 PM] I got that price quoted to me from a shop I trust, but thats tuning, installation, ALL parts (including the Kpro), 650cc injectors, new CTSC pulley and belts, and afew extras pieces.

Yes I know the immobilizer isnt a Magical Shield against thieves, its just another "deterent" and the more I have the better, anything that will slow them down for afew more seconds to get the clip in the gun the better.
The AEM uses OEM sensors, then how do you know when one has been triggerd and you need to check the engine? Im still not fully educated on AEM.
And I dont mind ya educating me on this I dont know about AEm, and its alot, but im goin by what my tuner tells me and he agrees Kpro is more expensive, but Neither EMS is a "Wrong" choice and its like an opinion or a preference... not everyone shares the same so chill.
