Yes I know the immobilizer isnt a Magical Shield against thieves, its just another "deterent" and the more I have the better, anything that will slow them down for afew more seconds to get the clip in the gun the better.

The AEM uses OEM sensors, then how do you know when one has been triggerd and you need to check the engine? Im still not fully educated on AEM.

And I dont mind ya educating me on this I dont know about AEm, and its alot, but im goin by what my tuner tells me and he agrees Kpro is more expensive, but Neither EMS is a "Wrong" choice and its like an opinion or a preference... not everyone shares the same so chill.
i jsut dont like the stock like driveability. if your tuner is more comfortable with kpro, then let him admit that. but dont sell someone on miconstrued shortcomings, which are directly as a result of his inability to tune with it.

i am sorry i came off wrong, i am just very upset my buddies was stolen and stripped.

if you want to slow down a thief, put an alarm that is loud as **** and put sirens in the cabin. also install well thought out kill switches, those will slow down a theif. immobilizer is seriously a joke for our cars. it takes less then 15 seconds to bypass, and can be done quietly. the alarm and special countermeasure kill switches are the real speed bumps.

ask your tuner point blank, is he better at tuning kpro then aem, and do you have emmisions, and what year is your car. i have been rocking aem ems both na and SC for 2 years, its awesome. kpro is just as good, but the extra money kills if for me. obd2 is the only reason i would choose it on a 05 or older car. thats just me.

and without a cell, you trouble shoot the car with some good ol fashion disagnostic work. if the ac stops working, grab the manual and follow the flow chart. car starts missing, check plugs, coil packs, work backwards. it is not hard.

anyways, glad to see you protect with lead also. if we had heard the thieves, it woulda been bad day for them. thats why i say get alarm. becuase IF we had heard the thieves...

Ya sry to hear about your buds car, pisses me off dousche bag thieves run so rampant, I hate it. Lead is a nice solution to them if caught in the act.

Kpro pricetag is ugly, but for smog and obdII its a win for me. I like alot of what I have heard about AEM too and my tuner said he could tune both equally well, and recommended AEM, but I pushed for Kpro to retain OBDII and smog check.

Loud alarm, 2 way pager, dog, motion fog lights, fence and lead are my protection measures and afew extra tricks. I have heard thieves, if tehy want it enough, they will do some seriously stupid shit to get it, even flat beddin your car away.

Id like to see the US take on some measures they use in other countries, like cutting off someones hand for stealing, thats would help the problem alot out here.

oh yeah just looked your a cali car. greddy kit or VT. you need the carb stickers. kpro either way. your stuck cuase of the state. i have heard htere are ways around it, but its always easier to get what is gauranteed.

good luck with the car. power is addictive. i got bored with 300fast, went to 330, then 350, then 370 all in a month of two. hehe, even now i am like, well i think its quick rofl.

Does anyone have an opinion on which unit is better with elevation changes?

I moved from socal and my Emanage worked great there. But now that im in the Rockies i change from elevations of 5000 to 10000 feet above sea level (as well as less barometric pressure). So the Emanage runs like garbage!

I imagine Kpro has the same stock abilities to compensate for the lower barometric pressure and my constant changes in elevation. right?
Anyone have experience with AEM and how it works up here/issues?

Smog is not an issue for me in CO...im just wondering which is the better choice for me in the mountains

Why don't you just get the Emanage retuned?

I did...but its still not running right. my AFR's are all over the place. its running too lean at wide open throttle. it hits around 13/14's. it use to hold low 11's @ sea level
