i wouldnt buy anything from AFI.

I also probably wouldnt waste the money on an intake manifold for these cars. the stock performs quite well

The only benefit to an aftermarket manifold for a street driven s2000 that I see is the ability to run secondary injectors. There might be small efficiency gains but unless you are combining the manifold with other breathing upgrades it isn't worth it to me.

As well as the F20c Head flows, it's hard to believe there isn't something being left on the plate...supposedly Skunk2 is going to do an Ultra Mani for the S2k...with velocity stacks and adjust. plenum size there has to be some meat there.

Kinsler already does that with the stacks and plenum.

It'll be interesting to see how the ultra manifold compares. For the B motor, it isn't what it was stacked up to be. hp doesnt come cheap.

Ok, so that being said...alot of us have come from the Bseries-game

So anyone who was deep in the game, would know that more headflow and a better Intake Mani, has always made power...

Same thing with the k-series game...and we are literally dealing with the best flowing stock-heads that exist.

It's hard to get an apples-apples comparison when it comes to intake manifolds...here why:

If we can all agree with the fact that 'boost' or intake mani pressure...is built up pressure, or the heads resistance to flow. If you ported the head, and/or added a less restrictive intake...your power would be the same, just at a much lower manifold pressure...because your total CFM went up.

So hypothetically, if we had a maxed out setup...at say, 30psi...then you added a free-er flowing mani...guess what? Prob still gonna make the same power, but at a lower pressure. It wont take 30, it might only take 25...but the turbo is still maxed, so your overall WHP wont change. Now if you aren't class-limited, and can put whatever snail behind you...that's where opportunity lies.

Gtx45, 80mm turbo...so I'll take all the free-er flow I can get. For the typical 67mm setup, I don't think a manifold is worth it beings that turbo won't get you to the limit where the stock intake starts holding you back.
