For a Vortech's aftercooler pump to self beed the air out of the system the pump's outlet must be pointed slightly "up".

I'm not sure if the pump Comptech uses needs the same.
Should I disconnect any hoses or just turn the outlet of the pump up?

How about removing the cap off of the charge cooler?

I do have the Vortech system with Spearco front mount.

Thanks for the assistance on this, slows2k!

Make sure the pump's outlet is pointed slightly up, just like the install directions picture.

I've had good luck getting the air out of the system by taking the cap of, and slowly adding coolant with the engine running.

I'm using the stock Vortech cooler core, not a spearco. Depending how the end tanks and water inlet/outlets are made, the spearco core maybe a little more difficult to get the air out.

(BTW, we met at WTD. My girlfriend was the one cracking herself up for everyone's amusement at the Deal's gap store)

Perhaps this may give you some help:

With this orientation, I had no problems getting the air out of either the stock Vortech rad or the front mount.

I do remember! Great times! I hope we can meet up again. I have been to 4 dragon events and keep meeting new people and try to remember the ones I have already met. Good thing is there are more events in the future to continue to form friendships. Look forward to seeing you guys again.

Thanks again for the help. This has been driving me crazy for the past couple of months.

Take care! I will let you know how things turn out.
