If you open the cap on the top of the vortech AC is the water level supposed to be to the very top? I know it has a tank, radiator, and pump so possibly it is not full when the car is off. Anyways if I stick my finger in the hole it comes out wet but its not like a pool of water. It seems to be doing its job though because it was cool to the touch after a 40 mile drive.

just turned the pump on and tried to loosen the lid slowly and water and pressure came out so obviouly its filling up, but how can i check the level?

 

you check the level visually ... the level in mine is at the bottom of the filler neck.

I don't recall ever needing to refill my AC except when I have taken the AC off the car.
