the only parts you need to keep are the power steering fuse and the air pump fuse, we are gonna eliminate all the rest
Why do you need to keep the air pump fuse if the pump is no longer connected? Thanks

when using an EMS do you just unplug and remove the pump?

How do most ems users remove it?

Um, is there a way to hook up a switch to this thing, and make it go pew, pew whenever you want?

I like the sound it makes

Which of the wires can be removed from the black fuse box mounted on the drivers side?? I see the box completely removed in one of the pictures above.

Id like to find someone on here, or hondatech whos good with ecu's internally.
I wonder if J's racing ecu still has it? or how they remove it?

thing is, the programming in the ecu is looking for it.
so when you start the car, the car looks at the coolant temp sender, it knows the car is bone cold, so it looks at the idle, should be above certain rpm, it knows it will be able to pull a certain amperage from the alternator, it looks at the 02 sensors, and sees the cat is not lit, it then requests air pump on, and solenoid to control AIS valve energized, now air flows into exhaust path at the exh valves, and creates a flame, which lights off the cat. once it sees a low enough 02 voltage after cat, it shuts the pump back off, or if the cat never warms up, it runs for a predetermined time, then shuts off before the idle gets too low. if the 02s dont see the air, it sets an air injection code, if the cat never warms up, or the rear 02 doesnt see the voltage drop, then it says the cat is below efficiency threshhold.
It is deeply embedded in the ecu programming, and jack would like to remove his all together, but i dont think its going to happen.
So im with this thread, id just like a solution. doubt well find one. later dave

There is a box behind driver side fender, called Air Pump Current Sensor, it actually measures that the Airpump relay is pulling so many amps whenever the pump is supposed to be pumping. Well, if electric current is correct, the Current Sensor sends a 2.5V signal to the ecu, I measured. So I'm gonna go to RadioShack, buy an adjusable voltage regulator, set it to 2.5V, and hook it up like so:

pump relay 12V out to the voltage regulator in, voltage regulator out (2.5V) to current sensing signal wire out, and the ecu will think the pump is pumping.
