Default Air pump question w/ frontmount

I just finished up my frontmount install. I kept the airpump for now but will prob. remove it later. I do have an EMS but its not on the car yet.

Question is I did not incorporate a nipple on the charge pipes like my past ones had for the airpump hose. Can I simply put a breather filter on the airpump itself to make the airpump happy and not throw a CEL?

I took some pics:

old pipe with a nipple for airpump:

New setup with no nipple:

and finally where I want to put the breather filter:

I got the idea from some past pics, note the filter:

So whats the general consensus?

that's what i did when i had a custom fmic on my ctsc setup and it worked fine. but, i ditched the fmic setup because i was running low boost so we had like 75% boost loss haha. so now i have the hose going to the intake again

Whats low boost for you??, I will be running the stock pulley for like 2 weeks, then the car will see 12psi.

Also, what diameter piping where you using, I did a 3in from charger to intercooler, then 2.5 from intercooler to TB.

we did 2.5" all the way through. 4.25" pulley. the max my tuner saw was 3psi. from my research and the data i've seen posted by others, the fmic will only be effective enough to justify its use when you are running at least 9psi. besides the ultimate racing setup which is 2.5", most other successful setups are running 3" piping all the way through (Washabis2k and Eri_s2k's setups is the only specific one that comes to mind, but there are at LEAST 3 others i've seen posted). i'm not sure about the effect of changing the piping size after the intercooler though.

good luck with it!! i ended up just picking up a used comptech aftercooler which worked like a charm...but then that has its own issues w the coolant pump (POS pump gets fubar like every month outta nowhere)...and now that i'm switching to 10psi sometime soon, i wish i stayed with a fmic setup.

I did the same thing you guys are doing, I just put the filter on the end of the grey hose instead of on the pump itself, no more P0411.
