Default Stupid air filter question

I just replaced the air filter in my car, and assumed the one that was in there was stock until I got the new Honda OEM one. The one I took out is plain black, but with a green foamy element, instead of the ribbed paper element of the new stock one. The narrow end has a little metal pipe that fits into the hole in the airbox. The plastic neck has a metal hoseclamp around it. Was this the old OEM airfilter? Or was it an aftermarket one? It didn't look like it had any aftermarket markings on it. I can post a picture, but figured someone might know based on my description...

Actually, it looked like this Comptech one, but green:

all version of the oem filter is paper element.

good thing you get rid of the foam filter, because they just suck at filtering out craps

I'd like to replace the stock filter with a K&N FIPK, but I don't have the time and $$ for that right now. But it is my plan for next time around.
