Default Another AP1 03 Greddy Dyno

I just got back from the dyno today and was disappointed with the power curve but I knew this was a common with this kit. Just some back ground info::

2003 with 58,ooomiles. One step colder NGK plugs, HKS exhaust, Greddy E-01 boost gauge/controller.

Base map with no tunning at 7.5psi on a Dyno Jet with smoothing set at 5.

Run 1: 3rd gear: 259.85hp @ 189.94tq
Run 2: 3rd gear: 253.02hp @ 173.52tq
Run 3: 3rd gear: 250.09hp @ 179.91tq
Run 4: 4th gear: 241.28hp @ 178.12tq

Tunning starts next FRI so a new sheet will be posted by Sat hopefully

do you have the stock cat? is your hks exhaust the hi power dual? if you answered yes to both questions, you could benefit by allowing your engine to breath better with a larger catback or a test pipe only.

not bad for running off the basemap and a small exhaust system.

yes, its the hi power dual exhaust with stock cat. Im leaning towards the bigger exhaust and test pipe, but im not a fan of the loudness. I know that its the sacrifice for high hp numbers

I think this is pretty darn good, it seems to be one of the first dyno's that show how the kit would work on a pretty stock car on the base map with base boost dual system. The HKS only make about the same HP as the stock exhaust but looks and sounds much better. You could get it tuned and up the boost that would probably give you more HP and another exhaust would give you more HP. I think it's great! You could now easly increase this +30hp.

i just tuned at Church's on thursday with the same setup, I put down 265 whp and 219 lb/ft tq. so yeah not bad numbers for you at all, I would get tuned and then see. But I am going with new greddy single and gonna retune and hope for near 300 whp at 10psi. gdluck!

Brilliant are you running any type of exhaust/tp? Did you get the vtec dip as well? I'm going back to Church's Friday and will post up my Dyno then.
