Default AP1 Greddy Dyno Results....

I wanted post up my results from my recently installed and tuned AP1 Greddy turbo kit. Before I post numbers here are a few details regarding my kit.

Additional Parts
- K&N air filter
- Greddy EBC
- Berk HFC
- Hondata K-Pro

Results
- 265whp 188 ft. lbs tq.

Car was tuned on a Mustang Dyno with the Hondata K-Pro EMS @ 8psi. I chose to keep my stock exhaust.

Thoughts and comments welcome!

Do mustang dyno's read low trq numbers to?

I was recently retuned on a dyna pack after putting my stock cat back in. Original Dyno was 301 HP wtih 204 trq with TP. This was at the renowned Church dyno which reads higher than most dynos. I was boost creeping at 12.5 PSI.

After the retune on a different lower reading dyno pack with the cat in the highest was 260 hp and 235 Trq at 10 PSI. Not sure why my torque is much higher but my HP is not. I think my car was getting a lot of heat soak and would have dyno'd 280 if they had better fans. I plan on redynoing it on a dyno jet that I went to back when I was NA and see what the difference is. Congrats on getting the Greddy. I hope you enjoy it.

It seems Mustang Dyno's read the lowest of them all. The Dyno Jet tends to read much higher, not sure why to be honest but it seems to be the trend.

Thanks! I enjoyed it for about 15 minutes today until I threw a check engine light. Code read that my o2 was not reading correctly. Had to buy a new one and I will have her back tomorrow.

We don't have a delta to compare it to, even a base run with an untuned car, so the dyno unfortunately is meaningless in the "peak" numbers respect.

The greddy seems to have that vtec dip pretty often. Does it go rich there?

not exactly. from what i have seen on my (and others') car is actually a quick lean 'spike' followed by normal AFR's. what seems to happen is the stock ECU freaks at vtec engagement for whatever reason and pulls tons of timing. this seems to be common on most emanage/vafc tunes but i am very confused as to why the dip showed up on a kpro setup. maybe its just a honda ecu thing?!?!? seems very strange to me.

Good work Semm like pretty good numbers running on what I have read to be a pretty low reading dyno.

I have a VTEC dip as well and I am using the AEM 1052U. The stock exhaust and cat was killing it up top.Im hoping that the new exhaust and HFC and a retune will fix the dip. Will show my dyno when I get retuned next week.

Yea perhaps it is an exhaust issue.

exhaust could certainly be the culprit - but i have seen way too many exhaust setups on this board with the same dip to really zero in on anything but the manifold that this kit comes with. still, i'm not entirely sure why a log manifold would cause problems like these. who knows?

it seems everyone has been so worried about proper exhaust sizing in order to keep the boost creep at bay - maybe we are all missing another important ingredient to the exhaust subject with the greddy turbo kit.
