Default ANOTHER BLOWN TURBO

Hey everyone.......

Recently i sent my borg s300sx FMW (62MM) to SPS in florida to be rebuilt (sent to by fullrace)

The report showed inadequate feed and inadequate drain when measured according to borg specifications. I ran a -3 feed (no restrictor) and a -10 drain to the timing chain cover. the feed source was the off the oil pressure sensor. I distinctly remember going out of my way to call full race and ask if this setup was adequate because they sold me the turbo. clearly not the case

the report said that measurements of feed and drain were off spec, but photos showed that majorly the feed was inadequate. i have 12k miles on this thing tops

WHAT FEED DO YOU GUYS RUN ? SOURCE?

WHAT DRAIN DO YOU GUYS RUN ? SIZE OF TURBO ? ANYONE ELSE WITH THIS TURBO HAVE ISSUES ?

Im running directly off the oil pressure port with a -3an no restrictor to the turbo. I actually called Borg Warner and asked them this and they said it should be just fine with a -3an or -4an. They didn't seem 100% sure either from the sound of his voice. Nobody has real proof of what works or doesnt since every motor has different psi/flow measurements. So far mine has been great.

The fact that you have 12k miles on it sounds like it wasn't your oil feed/drain at all or it would have failed a long time ago!

Basically saying a -10 is more then 50% too small of a drain for this turbo according to spec. He gave me actual measurements

That is crazy. Everyone is going to have to cut out their crossmembers just to fit an oil drain lol

I always run off my feed off the block, so what does it call for a -20 lol?
