+1 waste of time and money. stock up on used ones if you don't plan on spending the money to do it right.

my car made 467 whp at 18 psi. i know the new diff is gonna blow but my plan is to take the old diff out put in the new one so i can still drive the car and while the old one is out im going to take it apart and beef it up. im not really too sure whats wrong but its making a wild winding/humming noise so hopefully its not too bad. ill take pics when i have it out and apart. i got an 05 diff brand new for 2866.88 no tax, so thats not too bad i guess. anyone have any input on the diff build up??

Dude I could have gotten you a used diff with 28k for $400! That money you just spent could have gone towards a puddy mod. Not trying to rip on you but the for sale forums are your best resource.

Your old diff is probably going to be unusable as when they blow they usually mess up the internals pretty bad.

Puddymod stage 2 with 4.10 gears only go for 1500 or so (depending on what you want)

The reason i bought a new diff is because the differential may be covered by a company called bg. I'm a service writer at a small shop and for a few months the sales rep has been trying to tell me that if i use bg fluid in the diff it will be covered. no matter what, i didnt even have to pay for it. I used the fluid and it took about 75 miles before the humming started. haha Anyway, im in the process of putting the claim in i just have to make sure the paper work is all there. So i should be getting all my money back, at least some of it. Plus they will pay the shop to put it in as well. The reason i ordered it is because according to honda the 00 diff is on backorder and they only had two ap2 diffs left in the country. i didnt wanna get screwed and have no diff.. i'll keep you guys posted, my diff should be here today or tomorrow so as soon as I have the new diff I'll take the old one out and post up some pics.
