Default Another valvetrain related question.

I just purchased ferrea dual springs and retainers. I am curious if I can run .5mm oversized valves without changing piston size.

Second question is considering I went with Ferrea should I get ferrea valves and valve guides or can I go with a BC valve and ferrea guides?

Chris and Ya, at Inline have had more experience with all of these parts than anyone else.

if I recall correctly, my machine shop had told me that you can run:

.5mm over on the intake
1mm over on the exhaust

without having to change anything else.

ChefJ,

If you are on the stock bore size, over size valves "might" hurt overall performance, cause you generally shroud some of the combustion chamber.

I personally would stay standard size, unless going bigger bore from factory bore size.

You can run whatever guides, as long as they are installed properly. Also, getting springs and retainers, make SURE you get the new seat bases for the aftermarket dual valves springs. Most places sell it as an option, but its required on the F20's and K20's. If you don't you can and will break a spring.

Ya
