I'm running Skunk2 titanium retainers with factory intake springs all around. They have worked out well so far. Having the lighter weight components makes me more confident while raising the red line several hundred rpm.

I just ordered a whole supertech valvetrain and new bronze guides for about 7 and change. Supertech and Ferrera are the best options if you go aftermarket, but Ferrera needs deeper pockets. If you want Supertech, http://www.ipg-supertech.com/ is the cheapest source I found. I've been waiting for a few weeks on an exhaust valve production run, so ordering now probably won't effect your order.

The lighter titanium is a very good option for high RPM. That and stronger springs prevent valve float at higher RPMs.
