Default anther oil leak

so i got my comptech blower installed few months back and no serious problems until now. Little by little each day oil was leaking then it stopped. I elft my car in the garage for a few days and when i moved it out, a huge amount of oil leaked out. What is the cause of this? How can i solve it? Is this normal?

also, i have a godzilla bov unit, and i noticed on my hood that oil shoots out the bov. So i left the hood open and let my friend rev the car, and it definitely was shooting out oil through the BOV. whats up with this?

It must be leaking internally from the blower in that case. Maybe the internal bearing seals have gone. I would get in touch with Comptech, they will tell you traight away.

Check the oil return line that connects the blower to the oil pan. Make sure that both fittings are tight. If the fitting on the blower gets loose it could cause leaking. Sometimes this can happen when after an oil change. When the fitting is removed on the oil drain, the line is moved around a bit to give clearance for the oil stream as it pours out. This extra movement depending on the tightness of the fitting on the blower can work it's way loose. You should be able to access this fitting by removing the air box.

As for the oil coming out of the BOV....this was disscussed previously. It could be simply "blow by" which is normal to a degree. If it's a lot of oil then it could be problems with the seals.

Does the Comptech return go back to the Oil drain plug? If so, how come the Vortech doesnt do that???

Im doing the oilpan for my Vortech install and it did seem like an obvious place to do it!

Yeah it does.

Don't know why.

Get on with it.

Vortech recommends that the return fitting to the oil pan be higher than the oil level in the pan. Comptech places the return below the level of oil.

Lol Mark, will do.

Thanks Fyrestrike, guess its a pressure thing then - there is a little bit of pressue in there, and the flow would be reduced the further down the return is - albeit quite minimal I think?

ok i just check it all out. under the car, its dripping oil about 5-10 drips per night as it sits in the garage.

as for the BOV spitting oil out, its alot (atleast to my concerns). My white hood turns brown or yellow after few days of driving, so i have to wipe it off. This happens mojority of the time when i nearly vtec or let the godzilla bov work more than the usual cruise drive.

so now where do i go from fixing these problems?

Send the Novi1000 back to Paxton. Comptech will only do and tell you the same.
