The s372 will not fully spool until late in the powerband and that's what I plan on using. I'm going to do a c16 tune and a pump gas water meth tune. The stock motor will handle a lot more than enough for the street atleast. No need to build unless your going high hp. A simple 3mm hg will get you a lot of power as well.
Well honestly... i'm not crazy about the 3mm hg.. you know first hand about the hg stuff too!
i'm just gonna rebuild to a lower compression the right way...
Yeah that's why I'm building mine no more changing after this or do the mahle low comp pistons stock block inline can do all that stuff should be ok for 700-800hp I think that the hg's are okay inline just had a customer do like 750hp on it as long as its done right.

if i had low low miles that's different...
can't wait to see your stuff man!
Yeah bro me to I been super busy and slowly but surely collecting parts. Got a lot of work to do still. I can't wait to get it back on the street. I'm basically trying to build a new car. Your car still at ptuning? I just recently went up there ordered my coilovers and clutch from them for my m3.

I'll be there tuesday, i ordered new wheels for my 350z so they are gonna install them and give an alignment...

Speaking of M3, i was thinking of trading my Z in for one.. is it true that the 2002 and 2003 have engine problems or something?

can't see the pic but that is why i was asking about the power being made at that rpm
but if you shift quickly, you shouldn't be losing much RPMs. This is where the driver comes in...
I can see if you have an ap2 and you shift at 8500 or hell even 9000... but i suppose it would be the same for an ap1 to shift at 9500 or 10000

Plus, shifting quickly doesn't help if the revs need to drop for that gear. If I shift at 10k, I can be matching to the next gear at around 7-8k rpms, instead of dropping back down below 6.

If you anything beyond just straight line driving though, it's helpful to be able to run the car above where it makes peak power. Super helpful through turns, etc. I can roll into a turn in 2nd at 9,700, and just get on it to get out.

i'm lost on your thought that shifting quickly doesn't help...could you elaborate?
Yeah 02 03 the redline in those were 8k and it was to high for the motor and people were popping them. I have two bare s2k blocks and my ap2 front bumper and rear bumper for sale as well if you know anyone trying to buy this stuff I can't post in the mid-a for sale. Because I don't have a badge or something.

Say you're doing X mph in 2nd, at 9000 rpms. At x mph in 3rd, you'll be at, say, 6000 rpms-- maybe out of your powerband. You can mitigate this somewhat by slipping the clutch on it's way out, but it's helpful to be able to land back in the PB after a shift.
