What are you guys paying for a re-worked head?

Meaning, having my stock head worked w/new seats/valves/springs/retainers?

It's an AP2 head, would like to see 9k w/o issue.

thats what im actually trying to figure out now so i know what i need to get so i can price everything out to get a total of how much im going to spend. With the reworked head im looking to accomplish the 10k redline with the anti lag and 2 step reliability with my ap2 built long block.

My fully built Supertech head ran me right at about $850 if I remember correctly. Thats all the parts, machining and build. For the same thing I had done locally, IP charges about $1300 just for comparison.

A place called Worrall's head shop that a lot of locals use and he knows his stuff on the Honda heads. He only charged me $190 for new Honda exhaust guides and install, mirror finish deck machining, hot tank, bead blast, 3 angle valve job, lapped the valves and build up. Its all the same stuff IP does but they charge about $500 for it. I bought all the Supertech stuff from Mike Laskey for $650 shipped. So, actual total cost was $840.
