Default Anti-lag system

I don't usually indulge in idle brain revving but this is on my mind. Oh, and I don't have any lag problems whatsoever so it doesn't even apply to me. But hey...

I was reading about anti-lag set ups. Letting unburnt fuel into the exhaust manifold so that it burns and drives the turbo even though the engine is not under load. All that is required is to keep the injectors firing but not the ignition, and pump extra air into the exhaust (sound familiar?).

We already have a pump and air feed into the exhaust for our secondary air system (except most turbo owners remove it). And I expect the AEM could do the injector/ignition control.

Any of you big turbo users considering this?

It's pretty brutal on the turbine, you're burning fuel inside. The EGT's are through the roof as well.

There are plenty of Supra's with Dyno queen turbo's doing this to get them spooled.

The old Audi Group B Rally cars used a mechancal system to get the same results. That's why half the pics of them have 4 foot flames from the pipes.

It is def a great thing to use but doesn't do any good to the motor or turbo at all.

HMM. Common for drag but do you know how to pre-boost for a roll-on? :-)

I do and it confuses the hell out of someone cuz they think you are NA with the jump you get on them. They think you are gonna lag and you take off from them like a bat outa hell.
