Default Anyone changed the TCT

Hi,

I 'think' my TCT might be on the way out, but has anyone changed it who running a CTSC+AC?.

Do you have to remove the mounts or can it be done easier/without removal?

Thanks

I think I removed and installed my TCT with the blower still installed. I used a mirror and 90 degree pliers.

Didn't need to remove the mounts but you will need to take off the VTEC solenoid and spacer that feeds oil the blower in order to get a good grip on the TCT. It took some doing, but I managed to twist it off.

Brad, do you mean remove the bolts etc from the small mount that goes over the vtec solenoid?

Cheers

It's a simple process to just remove the three bolts holding it in and pull it out making sure to catch the piston or else it will hide on the frame somewhere. If you use a retracting bolt you won't have to worry about the piston getting lost. No need to move the vtec solenoid or the supercharger.
By using the bolt you don't need to access the inspection hole or pull the pin.

I removed my VTEC block because my TCT wouldn't budge. I needed more room to get leverage. You may not have the same issue.
