Anyone know how to mount gauges like this?

If you are set on mounting you gauges in that location. I would look into the modifry bracket more. I am sure you can use the mounting point and change the actual bracket to hold the 2 gauges. And then run the wires behind the dash where the bracket mounts? I am sure if you get creative there is a clean way of doing it.

i hate the original brackets that come with the defi's....the bases are like a 1.5-2" square....they're hugeeee!!!

i know when i did the install on my friends defi's he bought the tiny screw in mounting bases....forgot where he got em from.....

for mine i just broke the outter parts of the square off to make the base smaller and used screws and drilled into the dash....

oo and drilling holes for the wires makes for a much much cleaner install!!!

sorry to bump an old thread, but I was thinking this just might work. I was looking into Defi's blue racer gauge, is this the mount that it says to come with? Does this mount require any drilling or screwing in the dash?

The mount it comes with is hideous, way too big.
But you can get some seperate mounting brackets from DEFI for these gauges that are very small. You will need to drill the dash though. But don't worry about that, it will look good. Get those wires out of the way too.

I'll try and get some pics up tonight.

great i'll be waiting Since this will probably only be good for two gauges, I'll probably going with boost and oil temp?

Or you can get the Blitz DC series of gauges. They are ultra thin and light, the wire that they use is also very small. You should be able to fab up something that would hold them in that location.

They also sell a suction cup mount to if you want to just stick them on the windshield.
