a cam seized on my project novi2000... causing my head to be destroyed. i got a new head, i got the 2mm head gasket, and arp headstuds. i am in the midsts of tryin to get aem ems for the car but at the same time the exterior of the car is goin back to stock. i have the 04 conversion for the front, i have ap2 wheels, and my stock exhaust goes back on this week. i know... (stock exhaust?), which leads me to my 1st question. has anyone on the forums put an electronic exhaust cut-out on their s? if so, i would appreciate any tips. i will post some pics of the car, engine bay, ect. when i get a chance. i am hoping you guys dont leave me out to dry here...

my winter project became an abrupt turn away from what i was planning.

I had planned on getting the AEM EMS along with the 750cc injectors, to go with the exhaust and the 3.25" pulley i just ordered from ASP for my comptech kit.

But that all changed when i blew the trans some how. So now i am getting a set of Philip Pfitzner dog engagement gears installed and will hopefully be up and running within the next two weeks.

I'm going with a 3.8" pulley, AEM 3.5 bar map sensor, and 2mm headgasket. I'll begin in about 3 weeks when the ASP pulley arrives. I'm hoping for 380-400rwhp *crossesfingers* LOL

I'm patiently waiting on parts to start my winter FI project . I had planned to have the car done by now, but thats the way things go. I have an electronic exhaust cutout sitting in my room and it will be bolted up to a y-pipe adapter that Cody has welded in my testpipe so I will let you know how that turns out when I get it all installed.

Sept 14th I pulled the car down - dynoed at 358whp/202wtq due to a tapping noise & broke axle. We initially thought it was the timing chain tensioner going bad. So I purchased a new one, also decided I wanted to send the head to Alaniz Technologies for a full build!
Then once we removed the valve cover we noticed cam cap #1 was cracked and my cam gear sprockets were riding ontop of the idler gear sprockets, warping my intake cam. So we then though that this was causing the tapping noise.
This weekend while prepping the block for re-installation of the head we noticed that Cylinder #2 has excessive scoring and that was the tapping noise - piston was smacking the cylinder wall.
This weekend I am yanking out the block and having it shipped to Laskey Racing for a full-build! Goals are to have the car fully back up and running with an all new setup for Dragonball Run!

I'm jealous as well cuz I dont plan on taking the car out till spring break. Been in hibernation since end of november. January is almost over so that means March is just around the corner!

Good luck on everyones' projects.

Nah, not at all. Sideways has an awesome set-up - I think it'd take alot of dough for anyone to be able to challenge him in dyno charts. Originally that is what I was going with, purchasing a 3" Pulley (same that Ztec was using), 750cc Injectors, J's SPL Header, J's 70RR Exhaust, and Alaniz Competition Head Package. However I've sold all of those items - have my mind swaying a new direction,

Stay tuned!!!
