yep, the exhaust cutout (QTP)did some decent gains...30 at the wheels. btw...the project is coming along, broke the Edlebrock 75mm throttle body on the dyno so I opted for a billet piece.

^ If it came from someone else then I would agree with you, but I wouldn't doubt the man, his car is a beast and he doesn't BS when he posts.

put your boot on if you need to....tb broke, had Wilson Manifolds make a billet one. it's a common problem that the shafts sheer. We have tons of similar broken tbs at the shop... exhaust cutout made 22 extra ponies at the wheel at 17psi and 28 ponies at 23psi. Decent piece.

The guy asked a simple question I'm just responding from personal experience. don't need to prove anything, that will happen soon enough.

btw..this is an older setup showing the edlebrock tb. Hopefully they change the wheel/shaft combo since it not a sturdy piece:

well here is one I snapped early this morning, it's not that clear (doesn't help I painted everything black and did edit the pic too) but the cutout is the middle of the car right by the passenger seat, I'll get another when I have her on the lift. Again, it's a decent piece for the price. Check there website (QTP), I think they have some plots up. put some silicone around the wires going into the motor for some additional protection:

btw here is the new tb and the broken one. Notice the melted spacer since I tigged the shaft back together which caused the plastic bushing to melt (didn't want to just throw it away, I'll use it on some other project). I'll try to switch them out tomorrow.

I flared out the rear by 3 inches on both sides and those damn semi slicks still stick out....

Here are some pics of my exhaust cutout, its not a QTP though, I bought it from www.badlanzhpe.com. They now sell Y-adapters that you can buy with the cutout, but at the time I ordered this they didn't have them available so I bought a Jeg's Y-adapter that it can mount up to. This cutout is meant for a 3" pipe, but it actually has a 3.5" opening with an adapter that shrinks it down to 3" to bolt up to the Y-adapter.
