I just bought the cc clutch stage 2 and an used ap1 flywheel(28k miles on it).
CC Clutch recomends that you have the flywheel resurfaced, so do their vendors because of the Carbon Kevlar face.
I asked my shop thats doing the install and he said he'll take a look at it but highly doubts it needs to be resurfaced. Just a light buffing.

WHat do you guys think?

 

A lot will depend on how the drivetrain was treated for those 28K miles. I'd trust the shop to know whether it needs resurfacing or not.

Or find another shop if you don't agree with their assessment.

 

i would get it resurfaced just as precaution

 

resurfaced hands down. why risk a potential annoyance. its a whole 50 bucks to get it resurfaced.

thats what i did. it doesnt matter how many miles are on it, just how hard they were.

 

the shop said that they said to resurface it to cover their butts. Hes done a bunch of clutchs and never had to do anything more than just buff em out.

But yeah i think ill resurface just to make myself feel betta. Its 70 bucks the cheapest i found
