AP1 guys with the KraftWerks kit.
First id like to apologize for my random mix of questions and thoughts, Im sneaking this post in at work and have to come back and add more while noones looking lol.
Ive been looking at FI kits since ive bought the s2000 and still havent been able to pull the trigger. I deff want a supercharger over a turbo. I was pretty well set on the SOS kit but now im looking at the KW kit also. I'm not a dyno king type of guy I think 360 HP in the S will be more then enough. I want the car to feel like stock just more powerful. Ive read all there is to read about the SOS kit and I really like it, But it seems like all the people with KW kits are AP2 and usally (06+)DBW guys. And not many people are really talking about it. Are there any AP1 guys with the KW out there? What do you think about the kit? Ive seen some stuff about water pump pully failure issues-this really scares me, Has that been fixed? I dont DD the car but Id still hate to be working on it all the time like my turbo freinds do with their cars.I dont know, I just like hearing what the people have to say about the kit, not just what the company that makes it has to say. Thanks guys

I put mine in, oh, a couple of months ago, maybe? I'm at work, too, so I don't have dates. I've put around 3600 miles on it, and as the weather gets colder, I like it more and more. Cold air really makes a huge difference (someone less cheap than me should dyno one on a cold day just to see the numbers. I'll bet it would be a huge improvement.).
I love the power; it's incredible, very smooth and linear. I love the quietness, all you hear is a very slight but really high pitched whistle, and the engine is even quieter than stock. (I've heard that the other SC's sound like a tin can full of marbles fell into the engine, but I haven't heard one first-hand.) Mileage is barely affected, unless I get to horsing around a lot. My worst mileage was 17 MPG (but it was a really fun day!) and my best still up around 31 MPG.
It hasn't been without issues, but Oscar Jr. has been really persistent about solving them. At first, it would stall a lot (on deceleration), but OJR reprogrammed it (online from CA!) and changed the decel map. That made a huge difference. I get a stall about once in a hundred miles or so, now, so it's a minor thing.
That's the only issue I've had, and now the only maintenance I do is inspect it every other fillup. It was well worth the money, as it has made my mid-life crisis a lot more fun.

just got my kw kit on my 04 ap2 just recently. man, this thing is wild! got to be one of the strongest cars i've ever ridden in. smooth, great power, just press the gas pedal a little bit more and it flys.
if you want your car to 'feel' like stock then you probably dont want a rotrex unit. the powerband is different.
a real centrifugal charger will get you the same stockish powerband, with obviously higher numbers.
i dont live far from you and will take you for a ride in my car if you want. i have an sos kit. there is another s out here with a KW kit as well, and i have access to that car too

Any other AP1 kit owners out there to post reviews? Not certain how effective the EMU piggy back is with the setup.
