ARP studs and nuts
For locking nuts to hold the turbo on, check out ATP Turbo.

Yup
I just placed my order last night for my turbo but do you think these will work better than OEM for the manifold? Also, would you still use locking washers with these? Or would their flat ones suffice?

Are the studs breaking when you torque them to factory spec, or just when you go over the torque spec? Otherwise they are working loose?
I'd be looking at the manifold to make sure there is expansion room around each mounting hole, the manifold shouldn't be tight on the any of the studs. If the flange is currently warped it's going to do the same. make sure it's flat, and I'd probably cut expansion slots through the manifold flange where you can.
Then fab up a support brace for the turbo !!!
Moving to FI as well

I believe there is expansion room between all the mounting holes.
I did not see the flange to be warped with the naked eye but i guess I'll have to put a straight edge on it to see.
Cutting expansion slots on a log style manifold will be tough and time consuming
But defenitely the brace. i was thinking about bracing the downpipe to the side of the engine/tranny just like the brace that exists in the stock exhaust manifold that unbolts
thanks for moving this, wasnt sure where to put it.
yeah those look nice, self locking
Either that or I was thinking of using the stock nuts with nord-lock washers.
Those have been good lately keeping my turbo tight. Then again I safety wired the turbo bolts.
But I wonder how the studs from his link compare to the studs from ARP as far as grade.
ARP part # ARP-400-8032 as mentioned above
If anybody has used either of them and care to post the number of grade for each that would be good.

No, locking washers are not needed with them. And they do work. Ever since switching to them, they have never come loose.
