Inconel wrapped turbo and mani here. The stuff really works and will keep temps down. Blankets deteriorate, coatings can flake. I have never touched the inconel and it still looks great. Inconel is used in a lot of oem applications btw.

If you aren't melting anything now doing nothing might be ok but heat I would assume is bad in the long run. Anything would help reduce temps. I personally use a blanket on my turbo and a heat shield around the down pipe. I'm on my second blanket in 4 years of FI. Like someone said earlier they deteriorate. Probably your best solution is the atp wrap. But any of or combination of your choices will be better than none IMO even if you don't have an issue now.

Look into the Dei Titanium blamkets for the turbo. A little expensive but well worth it. The new Dei wrap for the downpipe works as well. However, getting the manifold heat treated is well worth it. I'm currently going to get mine down soon.

For what your going to use the car for you could Def get away with turbo blanket and nothing more. I run that setup and drive once or twice a week to work 100 miles round trip with zero issues. Also have many miles on the setup :-)

You shouldn't have any heat issues with your current setup. I purchased a turbo blanket just incase i need to work on something it will protect my hands from being burned. I just sent my manifold out now to be coated because it was ugly lol.
Wrapping things is ugly , i don't care how useful it is!!!

I think air flow is more important than something sitting on a manifold

Anything past this i really think is overkill and you won't notice anything gained from it that is really super measurable:

Ceramic coat exhaust housing, manifold, dumptube, downpipe (if in engine bay)
Turbo blanket
Heat shield from parts that can possibly melt such as fuse box or vtec solenoid depending on your setup

i was going to wrap my downpipe because it'd probably be $100 or more to ceramic coat it. but it is mostly out side/below the engine bay. the other problem is my dumptube is right over/near the downpipe and could possible cause a fire in rare cases

as far as venting..

i think the KP vent is a good mod, but is probably most useful for force feeding air to the turbo. I would imagine the venting hood is most useful for while you are stationary . i believe one of the most important things is actually Under the car.. you should keep your undertray intact, possibly a longer one so you are keeping the air in engine bay and not from exiting
it does not seem that raising the hood near the cowl with spacers does much either

Do you have heat problems currently? Have you melted anything?
No melting
How many miles do you have on your turbo setup thus far?

My turbo is new.. bought it from Rob! Zero miles.

Yeah, I hear the McClaren from factory uses inconel, just don't know if a blanket or coat will look better. Functional wise inconel works great, but would inconel look good? I know its function over appearance, but I want my bay to look good.. I'm using Rywire wire tuck shaved bay etc. I wanna run mid 10s and look awesome when it is time to open her up.

Great advise, you think like me.. I don't like the appearance of wrap, I think hood raising look like your car is salvage title lol. I am def getting the three cut outs on the hood, due to the fact that my dump tube are exiting out of hood. I wonder what are the benefits for dump tube hood exit? Is it just to look cool when flames shoot out the hood? lol or does it have a functional reason to exit out hood? Does it keep things cooler since dt are exposed to air out of hood?

Gotcha.. did you go atp? There out here in so cal in Irvine.. I spoke to mike and he said for mani, dp and turbine housing 1,030.00! Man over a thousand dollars for wrap?? If it is gonna benefit with lower temps than ceramic coat and blanket, then maybe I may consider purchasing, but dang 1k just for wrap? I heard using inconel without coat will rust my mani flange and other mild steel parts. Thankfully my fb sidewinder is 95% stainless steel and flange is the only thing that is mild steel.. what looks better inconel, coat or wrap?

I would assume dumptube out the hood is just because it looks bad ass lol. Probably quickest escape of gases as well though.
