I would like to see Richard Paul pumping out superchargers and letting others play with them.

Is the supercharger being produced in any appreciable quantities?
Other's on the rx8club forum have expressed a similar interest in him selling the SC by itself. For some reason or another (not sure if it's been stated), he just isnt doing that, at least not yet. I'm not sure if he's actually producing them yet seeing as he might not be sure of exactly when tuning will be finished but I'm sure he's planned ahead. The initial run for the rx8 might depend on the level of interest on the forum. I'm not sure if he's even using the same compressor for the s2k though I'm sure it'd be similar at the very least.

I understand that the rx8 program is a dead issue. __________________
Here's quote from a pretty reputable mazda builder off the rx8club site.

"The short story is that those from all over the country whom RP hired to help him have informed him that the efficiency range of the AFSC is not well-matched to the air flow needs of the Renesis. Last I heard he has started to begrudgingly accept this."

OK all you engineers...chime in.

Where have you been for the past 2.9 years?
I don't know squat compared to some but when you mention that the FIRST thing your students think of is replacing centrifugals with an axial - just drop me in that catagory.
Thanks for offering some dissention with teeth.
Perhaps you'll consider adding input to the BRP/SOT hotside roots thread if you haven't discovered that one yet.
I'd be interested in what you think of the pros/cons of that kit in R&D right now.

Welcome to the site!

I believe your source is wrong... RP is still working on the project even if it's not at the top of his list. He's had the SC working fine but he has not been satisfied with the tuning options he's tried. The car is still going to be sent to COBB. COBB is also still finishing up with their AcessPORT for the rx8 so even if they had the car, it wouldnt have been finished. Until RP himself says that it isnt happening, I wouldnt trust it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it lived on until Richard Paul himself leaves a post saying that the project is kaput.
