I've worked on so many new product development projects that I immediately recognized Richard's enthusiasm for what it was, so after giving him the benefit of doubt for a few months I went ahead and bought a CTSC/AC. When you're working on the bleeding edge (just beyond the cutting edge) you're doing R&D instead of just development, and you can't know in advance what kind of problems you'll run into or how long it will take to find solutions, or even if you will be able to find solutions. LOL, if you think Richard is taking a long time ... I ran into a technical problem in 1972, and finally resolved it fully in 1996. If RP takes that long with his supercharger I'll be pushing 90, and probably too old to drive anything faster than a power chair.

LOL - I worked at Walker Automotive for awhile - the guy who invented the mechanical 4WD hub autolocker patented it in the '60s but couldn't affordably build some of the ring gears inside it until 1980.
By the way, if anyone happens accross an intact SAM I'd be willing to take it off your hands . The engine typically has the perfect axial compressor . . . its the left end of the engine.
R&D is well and good but he should of R&D'd before he started some of the longest chains of auto threads that go nowhere on the internet. I always thought that when your product is viable then you announce it.
By the way, my axial flow high pressure washer works great.
Could've just been fishing to see the interest level first . . .

BRP/Stage One - done for the most part
Greddy - done for the most part
FastForward (coldside MP62) - he stopped working on it for now
Rotrex - looks like its coming

I'm all out of SAM's...... You may have better luck finding a Jumo 004 that's in the Me262 in the photo background
He's working on it, even if it's slowly. He produces other products as well, and he has to fill orders for the things he already has in production. From what we've been told, he's not been able to get the car over to COBB for tuning yet but should be soon. The biggest thing that has held this back is the tuning. Mind you, he started with the rx-8 and is finishing the 8's design first. He's admitted he didnt realize that the rx-8 wasnt a great car to start with, but said he is going to finish and expects the future designs for other cars to go much smoother. He's admitted that with the hours and money he's put into developing the SC for the 8 that he wont make money back on it, at least not for the one he's designing for the 8. So for us over at rx8club he's sacrificed a lot. The SC is ready, it's just the tuning. He's tried a few different products for tuning and was not satisfied for different reasons. He's working to keep this kit affordable and easy.
