Are yours the CNC billet aluminum ones or the ones that look more like stock?

 

They are the stockish ones, coated in wrinkle black. I love wrinkle black lol. My cooling plate, VC, and soon to be crossmeber cover and compressor housing are all wrinkle black.

I had my intercooler piping done in wrinkle black. It's sick ! Lol

I think when I get a motor built I'm going to do everything in a black theme. I have a lot of polished stuff now and it's a PITA to keep clean

 

Yea just about everything in my engine bay has coolant spots on it now. I need to go back and refinish the VC and do the intercooler pipes in the wrinkle black. I might need a few more cans haha

 

d-bo did you just use the vht spray paint? Thinking of doing my ic pipes also

 

I used the can on my VC and cooling plate that you can see in some pics somewhere in this thread haha. It turns out nice especially if you can use heat to cure it

 

vht is the best, i use the flameproof one on everything

 

I got my stuff powder coated. it was only like 1.25/linear inch. so it was like $40 if that.



i also have a question for you guys talking about these gear ratios... isn't the AP2 FD like 4.40 or something? i know AP1 is 4.10 . isn't 3.5 a pretty low gear? I bought an AP2 puddymod stg2 diff of a user on here and it was marked 4.10. at the time i couldnt figure out why it was such a big deal until i realized i bought an AP2 diff Lol. The person who i bought it from said it was a great ratio.

i think Joey had 3.9 in his car right? it seems like those 2 ratios are pretty good. especially with the AP2 trans

 

Ap2 is 4.10 as well. The only difference in gear ratios between ap1 and ap2 is the trans and gear reduction.

 

Ahhh ok. I will use google next time before making such a long post LOL
