#boutthatlife I'm sourcing a -3AN to 1/4 NPT fitting now. Hopefully this works.

Today I am going to clean up the turbo and hopefully have it on Friday morning. There was a small meet going on at Skyline Dr and I wanted to make it for that.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean the compressor wheel and housing backing?

 

Brake cleaner?

 

I was planning on using a degreaser but that would require a thorough rinse with water

That or carb cleaner; they're pretty much the same thing. I'd spray it on a rag and wipe the turbo clean. I'm not sure if it would be damaging to the seals in the turbo in any way if you doused them with break cleaner, so best to just avoid that situation.
